Although the overlords of smartphones are still Symbian and Windows Mobile these two old brand force, Android has now become a force to be reckoned with. Gigabyte go on to launch GSmart series, it exposed a type of Gphone which still focuses on cost performance. Its selling price is less than the current cheapest phone HTC Tattoo.
HTC Tattoo’s current selling price is 210 Euros, about 300 US dollars. However, this new GSmart phone will be sold under 9000 Rubles in Russia, namely under 210 Euros. But the configurations of the two are almost the same. Both the two smart phones adopt CPU of 528MHz basic frequency; and come with memories of 256MB RAM/512MB ROM, 2.8 inch QVGA screen, support WIFI/ Bluetooth/ Micro SD cards and equipped with standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
But, if compared the two completely, HTC Tattoo is still slightly better. Firstly, Tattoo is a type supporting 3G networks, compatible with quadband GSM network, and its transmission rate can achieve 7.2Mbps. Nevertheless, Gigabyte GSmart is only a dual-band GSM phone.
